These terms apply to all bookings made with The Bodysurf School, whether single sessions, packages, group lessons, or B2B programmes. By booking with us, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these terms.

What We Offer
We offer bodysurf lessons at Praia da Sereia (Costa da Caparica) and other locations along the Portuguese coast, including Carcavelos, Guincho, Sintra, and Ericeira. Lessons are available as single sessions, private 1:1, group, family programmes (Little Surfers), and corporate or institutional sessions. Prices, durations, and inclusions are described on each session page on thebodysurfschool.com. All prices are in Euros and include VAT where applicable.
Bookings & Payment
Bookings are made through our website (booking system or shop) or by direct message. Full payment is required at the time of reservation to confirm your spot. We accept payments by card, MB Way, Multibanco, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and bank transfer, depending on the booking method.
Lesson Packages
Lesson packages (Group Pack of 5, Group Pack of 10, Private Pack of 3, Private Pack of 5) are valid for two years from the date of purchase. After two years, unused lessons expire and are not refundable. Packages are personal and non-transferable, except by prior agreement with us. To book each lesson within a package, get in touch with us by WhatsApp or email. We will help you schedule each session based on availability and conditions.
Cancellation, Rescheduling & Refunds
Our full Cancellation Policy is available here. In summary:
More than 24 hours before your session: full refund.
Less than 24 hours before your session, or no-show: the session is forfeited.
If we cancel due to ocean or weather conditions, you receive a credit valid for any future session, with no expiry. To cancel or reschedule, contact us by WhatsApp or email at least 24 hours in advance.
Who Can Take a Lesson
Bodysurf lessons are open to anyone aged three or older. For participants under 18, a parent or guardian must consent to the booking and may need to be present, depending on the session type and the participant’s age. Before your first lesson, please let us know about any medical conditions, injuries, or limitations that may affect your participation. This helps us keep you safe in the water.
Safety & Insurance
Bodysurf is an ocean activity. Even with careful instruction and supervision, the sea is a natural environment and some level of risk is inherent. Our instructors are experienced and trained to teach in safe conditions, and we adapt sessions to the ability and confidence of each participant. The Bodysurf School holds active insurance covering accidents during lessons. In the event of an incident, our insurance is in place to support you. Full details of the coverage can be provided on request. You are responsible for arriving with appropriate swimwear and informing us of any condition that affects your time in the water.
Photos & Video
We sometimes photograph or film our lessons for social media and the website. If you prefer not to be photographed or filmed, please let your instructor know before the session and we will respect your choice. For minors, written consent from a parent or guardian is required for any use of images.
Liability
We take our responsibility seriously and act with care in every session. Our liability is governed by Portuguese law and limited to what is provided for under our active insurance and applicable consumer protection rules. We are not responsible for personal belongings left on the beach or at the meeting point.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the most recent version. Significant changes will be communicated to active customers by email.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Portuguese courts, where you also have access to the Centro Nacional de Informação e Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo (CNIACC) for consumer dispute resolution.
